The Siam International Math and Science Olympiad – Science Division (SIMSO Science) is a premier international science competition for students in Grades 3–12. Over the years, it has grown into a global platform that fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills while encouraging cultural and academic exchange.
It all begins with the National Round—an online multiple-choice test (30 questions in 75 minutes) covering core areas such as biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences, and space sciences. Top performers are awarded medals and certificates, with the chance to qualify for the International Round.
Finalists advance to the International Round in Thailand, where they compete in both multiple-choice and open-ended questions. Here, students face advanced challenges, connect with peers worldwide, and showcase their knowledge on an international platform.

SIMSO Science is open to students from Grade 3 to Grade 12. Each grade competes using a syllabus specifically designed for their level, ensuring that the content matches their age and academic background.

03. How is SIMSO Science structured?

The National Round of SIMSO Science will be held online on May 2, 2026. The International Round will take place in Thailand from August 7 to 11, 2026.
