Founded in 2024 in Berlin by the Albert Einstein Education Center, the Einstein Olympiad is inspired by the legacy of Albert Einstein and his belief in the power of imagination alongside knowledge.
The Olympiad aims to bring students from around the world together through a shared passion for math and education, while developing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
The Einstein Olympiad provides an international platform for students to demonstrate their mathematical abilities and engage with challenging concepts. In the 2025–2026 academic year, the competition will focus exclusively on Mathematics, with plans to expand into additional disciplines in future editions.
Its mission goes beyond assessment, encouraging creativity, logical thinking, and innovative approaches to mathematical challenges.

Einstein Math Olympiad is a global mathematics competition founded in Germany. It brings together students from Grades 3–12 across 40+ countries to test their math skills, critical thinking, and creativity.
Einstein Math Olympiad is open to students from Grade 3 to Grade 12, divided into five categories based on grade and age.
There are two rounds:
National Round – Online: 25 multiple-choice questions, 90 minutes.
Global Round – Germany: Each year, the panel selects a different city in Germany for the Global Event.
Top 10% Gold, Next 15% Silver, Next 25% Bronze, and Next 40% Honorable Mentions.

The Global Round will take place in Germany, October 26-30, 2026 .
The top 45% of winners from the Online round of the International Math Challenge are eligible to join the global round. In other words, Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners of the Online round are qualified to compete in the Global Round of IMC.
